We visited here at our request and were amazed to see the variety of spices and herbs grown and interested to hear the variety of remedies that can be be created from them. At the end of the tour we were given a quick free head and neck massage - brilliant. On way out they take you to the shop... More

You will find many similar spice gardens on your way to kandy , same business plan in all , show you a couple of trees and plants ( vanilla, chocolat, coffee ) etc... Talk about plants , herbs and their healing effects....so far so good until you reach the shop , if you manage to escape without buying anything from... More

i do not consider it's worthy to visit, especially if you consider yourself as a backpacker or to seek for an authentic traveling experience in sri lanka, yet, if you love free things, that 's another story. The case is, our driver unfortunately bought us there, and the products are relatively expensive, so i definitely recommend people to shop in... More

I enjoyed the tour of the gardens (even in the rain) but got more than I bargained for when my '5 minute neck, head and shoulder massage' came with a bonus grope! The products are overpriced but I was well impressed with the natural hair removal cream. Avoid if you're on a serious budget!

If you want to see plants go to the Botanical Gardens. This place is a rip-off, no other way to put it. The only good thing was a 5 minute massage before the hard sell. I felt obligated to buy a couple spices, but the ayurvedic remedies are seriously overpriced. Don't let your driver take you here!

I've now had a week of applying red oil every night to my arthritic hip, but if anything it's got worse. We were shocked by the prices at the time, but had quite enjoyed our visit and felt we ought to repay them by buying something. Now I refuse to believe their claims that former purchasers write from abroad to... More

Could have been an interesting stop on the way to Kandy but as per other reviews just watch out for the massive hard sell at the end. The wander round the gardens was good and our guide seemed pretty clued up but you got the sense it was a script and he seemed fairly jaded by what must have been... More

Our visit was part of a very long day out. The Gardens were not that large but the guides were very knowledgeable and the sudden massage although unrequested or expected made the rest of our day out that much more acceptable. The massage was really good. As 1 of 2 blokes with hairy legs I received the organic hair removal... More
