It was too hot to look around as much as we wanted to. The ground was lovely. We noticed that whatever there is on the left hand side of the building ie.. trees, shrubs and structure is somehow identical to the one on the right side of the building also.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site that should not be missed. Countless gardens, tombs, monuments, nearly 500 years old. Emperor Humayun was second Mughal, his tomb here as well as amongst others "Dara Shikoh great great grandson of Humayun and son of later Emperor Shah Jahan " (Taj Mahal is tomb of his beloved wife who died in childbirth having their... Humayun's Tomb. We have to walk to little for this - around 250m and the structure is gigantic as like any other Mughal well known places. One can spend more than 1 hour going around and admiring its beauty. No eatables are allowed inside and only water is allowed. Good place for history lovers and photo-manics. One has to climb... Our hired driver took us to several of the major sites in New Delhi. With a brief awareness of Humayun's Tomb, we expected to make a quick stop for a few pictures. The allure of this site was amazing and we just kept walking from one architectural masterpiece to another until we came upon the tomb itself. It is no... More

This piece is an architectural brilliance. Every section has been built to perfection. there is no words to describe it enough, especially when you know that it was constructed some 500 years ago, when there was no modern technology in use. There is also a huge tomb and a mosque at the right of the entrance. You will have to... More

brilliant. A wonderful memory to a husband. The steps are a bit steep so take it slow if you are of the older generation. the intricate workmanship is beautiful It was nice and peaceful to sit in the garden at the rear.

If you are in hurry and no time to visit Tajmahal in Agra then you should visit the Humayun Tomb. Its just like the Taj Mahal but not exactly same. Its situated in south Delhi near Nizamuddin Rail station. Yoo will need about hour to see the place. There is nominal entry charges to visit but its worth to see.... More

I did hear from my friends who came here and toured Delhi. Humayun’s Tomb was different from anything I had seen till now. All the four sides were just out of the ordinary. There is something about the monument, which attracts people; at least it attracted me for sure. It is definitely a trip to remember. The gardens the flowing... More

I went here while my son was in a Dehli hospital for treatment. Full of families and couples and very safe for a single female foreigner to visit alone. The inside of the tomb is actually quite plain. It is the outside and the gardens that are so lovely. Bring a book and sit in the gardens awhile and read.

This was a mausolem for Delhi's first Mughal empereror. Late afternoon is the best time to take photo's. Later Mughals of great importance were also placed here.
