the beach is strewn with all kinds of filth and dirt. should keep garbages inside the beach and motivate the people to use the same.

Don't go for just a drive through and look out of the window. Get your driver to pull over, or park the car yourself and walk...and walk...and grab some coffee. What I loved most was playing with the children and snapping pics of the gorgeous sunsets. Night is so much better than day.

Besant Nagar beach is very clean and relatively quiet. High gentry staying in near by areas like Besant Nagar, Adyar, Tiruvanmiyur etc visit the beach who are caring for general cleanliness of the beach. Good place for morning/evening walk if convenient from distance point of view.

1. Sea as everybody knows is a natural resource and is one of the best places to wind off mind. 2. However, the approch is the beach and nearby places, so here it is not ok as it is filled with lot of small time attraction. 3. As usual it does not have proper garbage collection system so one can... More

Besant Nagar beach used to be our favourite 8 years before. Less crowded, not much shops and vendors. Last sunday when visited it after 8 long years, it was a nightmare. Too much crowd, too many shops, too many vendors and garbage and polythese bags everywhere. Wondering why they haven't prohibitted the use of plastics and polythese bags atleast around... More

After the aromas on Marina beach..you can appreciate Elliots beach for being relatively cleaner and odour free.. The 'promenade' is an eat street of sorts...has a bunch of lower end eateries and a grimy food court...reasonable coffee shops.. and some fast food outlets and an icecream place.. There is a tiny but fascinating gelato place out front however...the few gelatoes... More
