It should be free! I mean seriously, $10 for our family to watch people fishing? We got to see some shark, manta rays and some dead fish, but we had walked from our hotel and were not expecting a fee.

Had a blast night fishing. If you go around midnight there are hardly any people out and you have the entire pier to fish from. During the day it's very interesting to watch everyone fishing. It can get a little stinky because of the fish besides that it's great. If you can bring your own fishing gear we didn't and...

This is a little bit longer pier than the one in Pensacola. It offers a goos prospedtive for tourist to go out over the Gulf of Mexico and peer into the deeper water than they are afforded ffrom shore. They seem to have a very good trade in fishermen, especially during the Ling season, which is now.
In all it...

My husband fishes there regularly and had heard that this pier was the friendliest one around the area and that has surely proved to be true. I often take a hike out there and pay my entry fee of $2.00 and stroll out, take pictures of the pelicans and herons and yak it up with the locals. It's worth every...

I don't even fish, but it is great to watch what other people are reeling in. Also, on a good day when the water is clear, it is amazing what you can see; schools of rays, dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, game fish, you name it.
You get the feeling that this place is for the locals right away. But good for burning off some time with the kids. They usually are catching some fish. Towards the end of the pier watch out cause they swing the fish over and then land in the middle area where you think it would be a good spot to...

So, my daughter likes fishing and she was very impressed with this place. She plans on bringing her fishing gear back the next time we visit Gulf Shores. This is a must do if you are looking for some fill in time between beach and dinner or want to see some really cool birds!
Just enjoyed walking up and down the pier and watching the pelicans and fisherman. Even saw one guy real in a pretty big shark.
Great place to wet a hook or like me just carry the grandkids and let thwm soak it in. Beautiful scenery and enjoyed watching various anglers at their craft. Time was well spent and enjoyed by all.
