This is a nice tour of a traditional house in Melacca. Our tour guide spoke a little too quickly but aside from that it was a great insight into the Peranekan family home and lifestyle. I would highly recommend this as a place to visit when you are in Melacca. It's one of my highlights.

A handy way to get a good feel for the culture, conveniently located, but can get a bit busy with school groups etc

This is the first visit to Melaka. I just visited this museum today, it was insightful! I'm glad I visited, the tour lasted about an hour, explaining the history of baba and nyonya, the way they live, their cultures, and real story behind it. Definitely worth it!

A fabulous insight into the traditional lives of the local people and their past. Our tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable. A great value for money tour - $12 MYR - tour goes for approx. 1 hour. Well worth a visit.

Museums can be ordinary places, this one certainly isn't. The guided tour is interesting, instructive, and a real learning experience. You can hear and see what life was like in 19th century Melacca and connect with the family through portraits, place and almost share their life.
