Be sure to get your camera ready before sunset and place the location at the overhead bridge that link Jonker Walk (Near Hard Rock Cafe Melaka) and the clock tower. The view simply catch anyone's breath away.
This is a must when visiting Malacca. The cruise takes about 40 minutes and takes you past restaurants and heritage buildings well worth it.

Not a river but a canal. Water was murky. There are boats to roam around (back and forth) if you don't feel like walking along the side of this canal. Can be good to see old buildings. Cafes are by the canal and can be good to wind down.
We went right at sunset, caught the end of daylight on the ride up and all the lights for the way back. It's a great way to get an overview of Malacca town: I had no idea there was all that graffiti back there!!! Would recommend trying this out.
The Malacca River cuts down the middle of the old town and makes a nice addition to the World Heritage area for those visiting the city.
