Hi, I went to Happy Vally on a Tuesday, 14/5-13, in hopes of no queues to enjoy the attractions without the extreme waiting. However, as we arrived around 11.30am, there were queues of about 80-120min on each rollercoaster as well as the more popular attractions. Two of the best attractions was closed and no warning or sign was outside to... More

When I first went to Happy Valley, it was for a field trip for my high school students, but I ended up having a great time with the other teachers. I thought things might be... "china standard" but I was very surprised with it's cleanliness, and most of all, awesome roller coasters! It has 2 or 3 really intense coasters...... More

Took the kids and they really enjoyed it and want to go again. It also seems and feels safer than other attractions in Shanghai too. They are improving it too as Disney is coming to Shanggai soon!! Cost is 200 CNY per adult and if your child is above 1.2 metres then I think it is half price.

The place is located near to Metro line 9 and provides a shuttle bus to take you to the park. It has nice coasters and is overall a nice place to spend a weekend day with the kids. There is a Pizza Hut inside the park among other eateries. We purchased a year pass which may be difficult for you... More

You can easily go there by subway (line 9), then with a free shuttle to the park (take the pedestrian bridge above the road. It takes about 45 min from town). The park itself is quite nice with enough to please youngest kids to extreme roller coaster fans. Some KFC and Pizza Hut around if you are not sure about... More

Sometimes there business is very weak and sometimes is hot. If you have heart attack, I suggest you should avoid playing Diving Coaster, so scary, and I still can recall that situation. When you reach the top, suddenly you feel the machine stop for a 3 second and there is no way to go except dropping. You have no time... More

Very close to Shanghai and easily accessible by subway, Happy Valley is a good choice for a weekend get-away from the city. For 200 RMB, you get access to the park with all the rides included. However, the crowds are a turn-off as you can spend hours waiting or a ride. It is your standard amusement park, more catered to... More

Kids have certainly fun, my daughter had. The downturn is the big crowds in summer. So I try to avoid it and go weekdays.

We went here with our kids aged 11 and 12. We wanted to go somewhere for fun after many historical sights they thought were boring. Well after finally getting here by train (we knew which stop but trying to communicate with Chinese ticket sellers, very frustrating but funny) we caught shuttle bus from station to entry point. During January obviously... More
