We had a guide named Angelo and he was awesome! He was able to point out every detail. We saw hidden snakes and tarantellas, that was awesome. I would recommend him to all the viewers of his tours. We would have never seen any of the stuff he showed us. He is very knowledgable.

This is a low difficulty activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family. We did not see a lot of wildlife except for a lazy blue Macau and since it did not move when we approached it, I assume it was probably a pet :) . . . haha. The trails are well marked, and easy to walk on.... More

Our guide, Christian, from Mountain Paradise Hotel, is very knowledgeable and enjoys his work. There are so many different types of plants, flowers, animals, insects, etc. that we had never seen before. Some trees have up to 700 epiphytes and parasites clinging to life on them! It takes several hours to traverse the bridges and the hilly area although I... More

We visited at the end of May 2013. It takes about two or three hours to see. It is not too strenuous. There are a number of hanging bridges ranging in length and height. They give you a map. We did not go with a guide and were able to see a lot of wildlife, birds, and lizards. Getting to... More

We were determined to not do structured excursions/tours or pay extra for tour guides while visiting Costa Rica. Because of reviews that we read online about how helpful the tour guides were, we decided to do a guided tour through the hanging bridges. We called the day of and scheduled a tour for later that day. Indira was our guide... More

Went on this tour, guided by Angelo (http://naturalistguidecr.wix.com/naturalistguidecr) and he really knows his stuff - learned so much walking through the rain forest, and such beautiful views from the hanging bridges, and then to the waterfall! Would recommend to everyone for a fun adventure.

We were here in 4/2013. The tour took about 3 hours, the pace was quite easy (I was 24 weeks pregnant at the time) and not too strenuous. Our guise was SO knowledgeable about both flora and fauna. We saw tree frogs, lizards, monkeys, macaws. If you have a problem with heights this might be hard for you, but we... More

We loved loved loved our visit to the Hanging Bridges but we used Jacamar Tours from our hotel and it completely added to our experience. It was our first trip to CR so we doubly appreciated Jose's knowledge in spotting animals, birds, and plants. he gave us a history of CR, and put everything in context. We learned about the... More

A stunningly beautiful 2 mile hike through dense forest. We went unguided, but my daughter is a wildlife spotter par excellence. While no mammals, excepting a common squirrel, were spotted there were numerous and varied lizards, spiders, birds, and interesting insects. Leaf cutter ants were on the march in numerous locations. The views from several of the suspended bridges were... More

We really enjoyed this, and the hike itself while short 2 miles in distance had lots of ups and downs, and the hanging bridges really made it interesting. The guide [Indira] was very good and patient--there was no timeline, and she was determined we would see whatever there was--anteater came directly to us; Coati lounging 100 feet up a tree... More
