I saw plenty of wildlife in the short of time I was there, I used the areal tram and a short walk in the forest. I saw a very cute Western hognosed pitviper :), owls, toucans.... very nice orchids as well.

Combine a hike in the Cloud Forest of Braulio Carillo with a stop for a chocolate tasting and lunch at nearby Sibu Chocolates.

In the dry season a drive through on a tour coach is not particularly interesting. There were no waterfalls, because it had not been raining. The road is good.

If you are near, this Parque is a must: Stroll through the rainforest canopy; early mornings are super for both budding and experienced bird watchers (and listeners).

Amazing scenery. It's a huge national park, so it depends on where you go, but just even driving through or hiking a trail is spectacular. Real Rainforest.
Magical place. The best part is you dont have to take a day out of your itinerary to enjoy, the drive is very scenic on the way to Guapiles, where you can enjoy a great rafting trip on the way to your next destination in the Chirripo River, Class III+. Also Rainforest Adventures offers a high quality zipline tour that...

Cool place. The only problem is tourist information. Is poorly organized. Any signs and information.
