Just bad timing I think, I am sure it is lovely when the water is running. Unfortuntely, there was no running water, and lots of mosquitos!

A lack of rain made this a complete non-event. And the car-park right next to it is pretty unappealing.

Well worth the short drive (or average walk) up to the picnic area to view the waterfall. Unfortunately there was no waterfall on this occasion but the pool beneath where it would have been was very picturesque. The mozzies were out in force so make sure you are prepared! The view of the graffiti on the walls of the abandoned... More

The water-fall was dry because of drought conditions even though there was plenty of water in the streams above - they onviously don't feed the waterfall.

I'm guessing there hadn't been enough rain to make this a waterfall as it was a bit of an anticlimax. It was a nice scooter ride up the hill (making a change from the flat road around the island) but the mosquitoes weren't flash either. Not sure I'd put in on the list of 'things to do' in Rarotonga ;)

A shame as the drive up on our scooters was quite nice (despite seeing the defunct Sheraton covered in graffiti) and there was no water in the waterfall. Spray yourself with insect repellent.

The waterfall often doesn't flow when there is no rain. Even if it has been it's nice but nothing great really. Nice for a freshwater swim perhaps.

haha I could not beleive this waterfall made it on the Jasons list of things to see and do in Rarotonga. The water fall is ok....but the area around it is filthy and unkept and really not worth the scooter ride. But hey, at least we can say we have seen it :)

A very interesting drive up a back road to a lovely waterfall. Beautiful forest surrounds. Well worth the short drive.
