We have made five trips out to Alaska and always go out on the boat tours. We did the 1/2 day halibut tour. It was a great experience. These guys are serious about helping you get your fish,I have been on others that we were not happy with. We worried about taking our talkative seven year old but they were... More

Halibut half-day trip. I've been on many fishing boats, in many places. This one was one of the cleanest ever. Captain was good, informative, and personable. Same with crew. Not much in the way of drama, just good fishing (caught our limit on halibut, and a good amount of cod too). Half-day trip price is a good deal. Will be... More

We just got done doing a halibut and king salmon combo charter. The price was very comparable to the other charters out of homer the deck hand and captain were very informative throughout the trip and assisted whenever needed. No fault of the crew but the salmon just weren't biting. after spending 3 hours trying several different spots and only... More

I lived in Alaska fo 25 years and I decided to take some first timers to Alaska to fish for Halibut. The captain was rude and short with everyone. Looked like he was recovering from a hangover. When you pay $275.00 per person per day of fishing I want someone who you can have fun with. This guy was a... More

We went out for the day on a salmon and halibut trip. There was some mix up with the fishing licenses and our original boat was being repaired so we had to be switched to a different one. But overall it was a good experience. The office staff were very nice and accommodating. The boat captain was competent but could... More

Had a great trip out for Halibut. Our whole party caught our limit. Crew was great to work with. They have really convenient deal with a local fish processor to help you freeze your catch if you so choose.

My wife and I joined one of "Bob's" half day Halibut trips early in September. We were blessed with perfectly blue and clear skies and traveled 26 miles out into the Cook Inlet. McKinnley was visible more then 300 miles away. Unfortunately winds were 25-30 knots and the boat (all 50 feet) was rocking. Fishing was slower than earlier in... More

We went on a 1/2 day halibut trip with Bob's and immediately hooked up halibut when we dropped our lines. They were smaller fish (14-15 lbs), but we caught a pile of them. Hard working, fun crew. They made sure everyone caught their limit.

Went on a 1/2 day charter with Bob's Trophy Charters. Stand up business and top class deckhands! Everyone caught their limit and the captain was quite helpful for beginners. Caught a halibut that was well over 50 lbs. Epic!

Drove 90 miles one way to take Fishing Charter. Was supposed to get a call early bif any chance of cancelation. Very poor attitude on arrival and no apology. Just tough luck and too bad. Very poorly managed business and I found very competant and professional competition in the area.
