The zoo is really large and has something for everyone. I especially enjoyed all the primates! They have a great area for the chimps and the baby is adorable. Make sure to check out all the monkeys with lots of babies!

The kids loved riding in the carts. There are lots to see and it is well organised. Many animals to view and lots of snacks on the way too. We packed a picnic and enjoyed it on the lawn. It was a really nice day out!

A great day out with the kids whether you are just passing time on a Sunday or visiting one of the fantastic events that they offer periodically. Bring a picnic, have a wander around ... it's a lovely day out.

I just love the peacefulness, being around the animals, listening to the birds. A great place to catch up on some animal facts :)

Johannesburg Zoo is a great place to visit especially for the children. Wide variety of animals to see and learn about, the zoo looked quite well kept when I was last there

There was a special kiddies outing on a trolley with a volunteer guide who showed the children how to feed the camels and polar bears. She also took the children to the tiger enclosure and the rhinos, explaining the habits of the animals. The children loved it.

The zoo has a lot of healthy and well kept animals to view and it makes for a great trip for families with children and animal lovers.

Loved everything about it. The animals, the staff. I just loved it. Clean facilities. Its a lot of walking but you also have the option of golf carts if you opt not to walk

Joburg Zoo gets better and better - the new(ish) management have really done a lot to improve many areas of the zoo.
