This was the second time I visited the Lion Park. It was awesome both times. I was with a group of 10 people and we hired a guide to go with us in our vehicle. The guide was very knowlegdable and had a good sense of humour as well. The animals were great to see and it seems that the... More

A very good value for money outing and a superb place to take tourists. We had Australian guests and they were very impressed with the animals, the photo opportunities and the restaurant.

If you missed cats on your safari, this is a great second chance. It is a pleasant zoo. Best, it is close to Carnivores for a great dinner

Our entire family had fun at the park. We saw the lions at feeding time, which was great. Our kids really enjoyed petting the cubs (in a separate part of the park) - definitely something they had never experienced before. You can see other animals up close as well. I didn't give it a 5, only because the park itself... More

Loved the Lion Park. Highly recommend that you overnight at the park if it fits within your travel plans and do both the day and night tours.

This park is quite good to get up close to the Lions and especially the baby cubs. Although to be honest I'm not sure for the cubs to have a constant trail of tourists wanting to touch and photograph them. The best bit is the drive through the different pride camps with some pretty impressive beasts. Best time is to... More

The Lion Park is conveniently located in the middle of the Johannesburg – Pretoria complex, so it’s an easy travel to get there. The website states it is an eco-tourism destination with an emphasis on the well-being and regeneration of the several species, in particular the endangered Wild Dog, the rare White Lion and Cheetah. The park primarily is a... More

Voted as one of the Top 100 destinations in the World... I guess if you want to see lions upclose and personal. We were lucky to see a litter of new born cubs suckling and hyaenas fighting each other in a fierce battle. Not to be missed in Jhb.
