The tour was very enjoyable and a great way to spend a couple of hours. Although the cheetahs are no doubt gorgeous, the wild dogs hold a fascination for me as well. The five week old pups (8 of them) were just too cute! Thank you for all of your efforts as they have really paid off. My one regret... More

In December of 2012 we were lucky enough to visit the Ann Van Dyck Cheetah Centre near Pretoria. I had been there in 2008 and worked for a while with the wonderful team of people that Ann had gathered around her led then by the curator Alan Strachen. December 2012 was a return visit to see again the cheetahs we... More

The he De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre is is situated in the foothills of the Magaliesberg mountain range to the west of Pretoria North. At this location cheetahs are bred in captivity and later released back into the wild. On arrival we were provided with an extensive lecture and film on the background and history of the breeding program... More

The de Wildt cheetah and wildlife centre is somewhere we ALWAYS take our foreign visitors. It is a mere 45 min drive from Johannesburg and a wonderful interaction with cheetahs , wild dogs vultures and many more threaten species. It is clean and very well run with very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Vistors are alway well informed of the do's... More

I don't like cats, can't stand them, but cheetahs are different, if Lion is the King of the jungle, Cheetah is the queen, such a beautiful animal! One of the places where you must go if you are in Pretoria area

This is really one of the best attractions out of town. The cheetah story is truly a big challenge with great results. My favourite the race between man & cheetah, these animals show superb balancing skills at high speeds.

This is a very worthwhile attraction. The animals are well cared for and this is not a zoo.The tour was very nice and well narrated. No food available for guests that day though, bring your own.

A tour is well worth a visit, highlights are interaction with a cheetah, a game drive and for the energetic early morning risers the experience of a cheetah run! I find the habits of the wild dogs most interesting ~ the way they care for the pack, feed the young and weaker ones, the alpha male and female and how... More

The centre includes an Anatolian Shepherd dog breeding program where dogs are placed on farms to protect livestock from possible cheetah predation. This is saving cheetahs and livestock
