Relaxed, easy going, brilliant location, excellent show. NEWS YEARS EVE PARTY was the BOM.!!!! We have been attending Libertas for years and last year was the first time we did the New Years party.. never to be missed again.

We can hardly wait for the new season and the line up of performing artists and groups. We attended four performances last season and with one exception were amazed at the stunning quality of the performers and the incredible atmosphere this venue has. The only prerequisite is that it's full, but sadly this is not always the case.

Oude Libertas hosts a farmers market that simply cannot be missed. The best colloection of artisan wine, cheese, bread, chocolate and nearly everything else. Buy a bottle or three of locally produced bubbles and sit back under a tree and listen to the music. Plan to spend the whole morning there, we staggered out at about 3pm with a case... More

We spent the most amazing evening at Oude Libertas in December. The had a market and a concert Beautifull historic farm with wonderfull crafts and food for sale. We had supper on the beautifull lawns before we joined the concert. A perfect ending for a lovely evening

We love music/dance performances and, like Kirstenbosch, Paul Cluver and the amphitheatre at Spier, this is an old favourite we have been visiting for more than 15 years. Check out their website for upcoming events, have a glass of wine on the terrace before the show and enjoy the performance.

We saw the show queen at the ballet by the Bovim ballet company at this venue tonight. Absolutely breathtaking. Not only was the show amazing, but the venue is pure perfection. The Oude Libertas Amphitheatre in Stellenbosch is the most wonderful venue for outdoor concerts, jazz, ballet, etc. We sat there tonight on a balmy summers evening listening to jazz.
