Your excursion to San Ignacio Mini will stop here. The tour is interesting and educational. And even though there will be a big crowd, you can find some great deals on jems in the gift shop.

We hired a driver to take us from Puerto Iguazú to Posadas and made a brief stop at Wanda for a short, uninspiring tour. Perhaps most striking were the village's crumbling infrastructure and “African” standard of living despite the income generated from the mines.
I've never seen crystals in their natural form embedded in the rock like that, so I enjoyed the experience very much. I seriously doubt the shafts they showed us are still active though, so it's a bit misleading, but it doesn't matter, I still enjoyed seeing it. interesting, but nothing out of the ordinary. not recommended as a one off excursion, combine with something else
Nice tour given by a guy who spoke great English (a rarity in this area). The mines were really neat, and seeing all the raw stone was cool. The shop is overpriced, you can find better prices almost anywhere in the province, but the selection is unparalleled. If there's something you're really drawn to, get it here, but if it's...

Yes it is interesting to see these crystals in the basalt where they have been for millions of years - but it is worth 5 to 10 minutes not half an hour. Furthermore I have no interest in buying crystals - despite the pressure; polite as it was.
Very interesting, would have liked better infrastructure...
nature , visit all all arround nort of Argentina is great.
This is a very small mine with only 10 miners, that work on a sustainable idea of mining. Is not surviving thought, they have reasonably good work to show.
Due to the taxing system in place in Argentina, they do not go deeper to get diamonds and other stones, so they stay close to the surface. They even blow the...
