Not only a great collection of western art but also a wonderful place to learn more about the history of the area. Multiple levels to this museum and an excellent variety of exhibits. Recently renovated, the museum is beautiful and sits up on a hill overlooking some of the most fantastic rock formations in the area. And they have a... More

We recently visited the Phippen Museum on a trip to visit family in Prescott. We were pleasantly surprised to see stunning art and antiques of the old west. They have so many beautiful pieces. We especially liked the antique guns, spurs, saddles, chuck wagon, etc. Again, beautiful pieces of art: paintings, bronze sculptures, prints. We would highly recommend a visit... More

Amazing collection of western art. There is a beautiful collection of art work by Gerry Metz capturing the Lewis & Clark expedition. Great museum will go again.

Susie's Restaurant for lunch at the Lovefield Airport up the road. Service and food was excellent. Display of airplanes hanging from the ceiling add to the atmosphere. Visited the Phippen Museum in mid-November and fully enjoyed the two hours I spent there. Very friendly staff took extra time to answer my questions. The new addition to the building is striking. A good balance between the native american and cowboy history of the area and the art/artists who record it.

When I first moved to Prescott, this was a charming little museum with some nice displays. Since the recent remodeling, this is as beautiful as any big city museum and the exhibits have been wonderful. If you live here year round, it's definitely worth the annual membership to see all the events and attend special opening nights, etc. Plus you... More

The Phippen is a small but very nicely appointed museum. My Wife enjoyed the artwork and the old pictures of the sherrifs and ranchers from the area. I enjoyed the display of saddles and cowboy gear in the western heritage gallery. They have saddles made by legendary craftsmen of the old west, like F.A. Meanea, Miles City Saddlery and Al... More

The galley has up to date shows of well known Western Artists and those up and coming newer Artists. Always a great variety of art work well presented. This should be a must to visit if you enjoyed Prescott.

This is a sleek and gorgeous museum, with lovely galleries and a fine gift shop. George Phippen was an artist and the first president of the Cowboy Artists of America, and the museum named after him is dedicated to representing artists of the American West. We were there at a good time, because they were just hanging works for their... More
