I wanted to see the Epitaph office because I remember the TV series Tombstone Territory that featured the Epitaph. Museum with old printing machines, type sets, etc. I bought a reprint of the post-gunfight edition and a writeup on Earp and Holliday for a few dollars. Neat.

Tombstone "the town too tough to die" is still going strong and getting better. The Tombstone Epitaph is still being printed and a visit to their offices and mini museum is free and worth the few steps off the main street to see it. It really is a piece of American History. As for the cowboys and miners, all dressed... More

A fascinating visit to the newspaper that reported the famous gunfight that is still in print today. the tour of the museum is self led, and offers viewing of the early presses and print used throughout the past. With the tour you get a free issue that was printed, reporting the infamous OK Corral gunfight. It is part of the... More

We only stopped here to collect our free newspaper as a part of the OK Corral tour, but we stopped for the free museum that was an unexpected highlight of the day. The museum showed us how they produced newspapers back in the nineteenth century, which showed that it was a painstakingly slow way to produce the news. There were... More

So who wants to look at the newspaper office? Anyone with interest in history should stop here. The displays, not only of early printing, but reprints of the original stories are worth going to see.

Impressive piece of history and information. Had fun walking through and looking at the old equipment. Reading the history of the epitaph owner. Not much to do for the younger crowd.

Amazing lady behind the counter, she knew everything!!! The old printing presses are there, the trays of type, a dvd runs that shows the printing process. Replicas of old newspapers are available for purchase, and the gift shop is well-stocked with boos, etc about all that is Tombstone. Check it out!!

Nice to see the old equipment and you can even purchase old issues of the newspaper or subscribe to current issues. Worth a stop.
