Lots of places where you can get close to the water. Good camping and hiking. Fair fishing and has good boat ramp with lots of parking across the road.

Enjoyed a relaxing stop at this place. Birds are fun to watch. Bathroom facility is there and we were able to have our picnic lunch right by the lake. Just a great way to escape and not that far from the city of Yuma.

Over a year ago this wildlife area was partly destroyed because of a fire. It took them weeks to put the fire out. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the vegetation has bounced back. This lake area appears to have been developed to allow access to the water for fishing and light boating. Rock jetties, now well overgrown were created into the lake to allow access to deeper water for those without a boat or kayak/canoe. The attraction called Betty's Kitchen on the maps is under reconstruction (after a fire?) so is inaccessible and... More
