If you've made the effort to make it out to Tana Toraja (and it does take quite a bit of effort), you won't want to miss the surrounding burial caves. It may seem tacky to pay 10.000 Rp for such a site, but it really is quite stunning. Totally worth it!

Many sites in Tana Toraja are great ( we particularly liked Ke'te Kesu, Lemo and Suaya). This was one of the highlights, also because we arrived very early out of season, so that we had the caves mostly to ourselves.
