The best way to experience history, staying between the remains of an ancient imperial city, It breathes everything you would like to encounter in India. Keep it this way, and don't turn it into a closed site! More

This whole village is amazing. It was one of the highlights of my South India trek. A must go and a must see... but don't tell anyone about it so it retains its charm. More

Unfortunately the problem happens to be the western tourists who want to barge in to people who are photographing the sheer size of the are its covering it is break... More

Unusual, unique, a must see while in south india. my favourite thing about the village is how the buildings are integrated with the giant boulders. A lovely place for a sunset too! More

When you see these sites it,s not like most places that you visit elsewhere in the world where the sites them selves have been repaired & restored. This site was ok & you can get an impression of what it must have looked like, but the general effect that it has is that it,s had no work done on it since... More

The people. The tour guide and the tuk-tuk drivers - who certainly charged a higher-than-usual "Western tourist fee" - but didn't also insist on a "TIP" when their work was done. Also, when I accidentally purchased too many water bottles from a vendor, he readily took one back and refunded my money. More

Even though the place is not very well deserved by transportation or well talked about, it is really worth visiting. From Mumbai, we had to spare 4 full day for this trip, 2 days of travel and 2 days of visit. First we flew from Mumbai to Hubli (or Habbali), only 1 company (Kingfisher), 1 flight a day (evening). Then... More
