Tiger's nest is a must do when in Bhutan. Its spectacular both in its location and spirituality. It is a challenging hike which should be attempted when its nice and cool but is worth every aching muscle.

Traveling to Bhutan is like going back in time, I felt I was part of those Asterix & Obelix stories... Since I arrived to Bhutan the guide started talking about the hike, I wadn't concerned about the altitude because I was in Tibet just before the trip, despite all the reviews I read, I wasn't expecting that, yes, the hike...

My wife and I took the hike in May 2013. We took the hike with our guide Doje Tshering and our driver Choki Dorji. By the way when in Bhutan request these guys through your tour agency because they are freelancers and they are the best. You drive to the parking lot and start the hike. It is about 1...

However, we made the trek up in 2 hours without pushing ourselves. Good weather helped (it was overcast and about 10 - 15 degrees C). Once we got to the...

The tigers nest in Bhutan was fabulous...for a destination that may only happen once in a life time ;). Find a reputable guide...I would not recommend world expeditions...horrible coordination with them... Enjoy the view and perhaps lunch on the way back down at tashi tashi restaurant ;)
