Carmel Valley Village has reinvented itself as a boutique tourist spot. It is a quaint place to dodge the fog on the coast and enjoy wine tasting, galleries, strolling around in the sun for gifts and a nice meal. If you haven't been there in a while, check it out.

Quirky,? not really, Extrovert,? could be, pretty,? definately. Clean with sweet smelling air. Park the car and walk is a must. Tons of galleries, restaurants, gift shops, places to stay. Mingle with the locals and feel at ease.

Great atmosphere. Plenty of choice but do take the time to explore a little before jumping in to the first restaurant. The free guides were generally accurate. Quiet, not for the party-people. Romantics rule OK.

On a 2 week tour of the south west Carmel was one of our favourite finds and definitely somewhere we'd return to. Stunning to look at with it's little cottages, lack of street lights and amazing beach, it was like stepping into another world. Holiday bliss!

Carmel was a beautiful, romantic, quaint little town! I loved every moment of the city! The shopping, the dining & sight seeing was the best!

We've been coming to Carmel for close to twenty five years, and it remains the same as it was back in the Clint Eastwood as Mayor days. Enjoyed the galleries and especially liked Bennett sculpture where I met the wife of one of the brothers. I"d purchased some of their pieces with my husband the week my first baby girl was born 32 years ago.
