I believe this is the only course on Coronado. It is very well kept and easy to play. The Pro Shop rents clubs. Or, just hit a few balls on their driving range.
This is a really nice municipal course you cannot beat the price ($15 for twilight after 2:00 yes for 18 holes!) the course is flat and very fair, you won't lose any balls and you see the bay on 6-8 of the holes. The course was packed on a Saturday afternoon, but pace was just fine and the fairways were... More
Played the Coronado Golf Course this past week. Great municipal course to play while in the San Diego area. Great customer service in the pro shop as well as the snack bar. Pace if play was a bit slow, but gave us ample opportunity to enjoy the views and vistas. Had a wonderful time and highly recommend playing when in... More
Thoroughly enjoyed a game of golf here on Fri 26th July. Rental equipment of very high standard - all TaylorMade RBZ kit. Course was in good condition. The course is a busy place, so make sure you book in advance to get the tee time you want.
This course is offers a fantastic setting in Southern California. It is not as challenging as Torrey Pines, nor is it as difficult to schedule a tee time. Especially nice for couples, but the guys love it too.
$30 for 18 Holes, on a well-conditioned course right on San Diego Bay. Great weather, very nice greens, pace was a little slow (just under 5 hours). A little pet-peeve is the presense of in-course out of bounds on a couple holes on the back nine. Course is pretty flat, so it is a very easy walk. Would play there... More
Don't expect this golf course to be anything really special, but it was an enjoyable round. I don't really care for the type of grass - it seems like a St. Augustine a very hardy crab grass which is probably more ideal because of the sea climate. I would rate this an average municipal course.
Played mid-afternoon, played in 5 hours. fun holes, with great views, easy walking course, and the course was in great shape.
The best $15 you can spend in Southern California, right on the bay and close to downtown. Last minute openings for singles easily made with a call to the pro shop. It was an easy drive from the hotel across the bridge.
