The fellow running the welcome desk was very nice, and gave us an overview of the history of the house. There was so much to see, from a display of vintage Brownie cameras to the many, many photographs of the logging culture of the early 20th century. A great introduction to the history of Ft. Bragg.

Lots of history about the Mendocino/Ft. Bragg area. Lumber and logging. How the area was settled and developed. Very interesting photographs. Beautiful old home with exquisite, hand crafted details. Outside the museum is a "slice" from a 1,000 year old redwood tree. It is astonishing.
