Someone did a great job laying out this tasting room. Perched on a hilltop with a picture window, it offers gorgeous views of Russian River Valley. I found the wines not great, but very good. Oddly, they don't allow picnicking.

We just received our shipment from Gary's fine selection for the grand crew club members. We love to shelf these wines and save them for a special occasion because when we open them they take us right back to the moment we stepped into the tasting room and were over aken by the ambiance and beauty. It is our tradition...

If you are visiting the sonoma wine country, this is a definite must stop. The terrace over looks the redwood covered hills. Gary Farrell has one of the best Chardonnays I have ever tried (2010 Rochioli) abd their pinot noir's are excellent.
The staff are friendly, unpretentious, and just a lot of fun. Especially Diana. This woman knows wine. I...

This was my second trip here. It is well worth a visit when in the area for the view alone. The wines are very good too! Sit outside in warmer weather and soak up the sun as you enjoy wine tasting in a beautiful environment.
A fun place to stop, the view outside the tasting room window is just gorgeous. Great to sip and stare. A fireplace and outdoor patio make for other experiences unique to the space. The staff was nice and the wines were very good.
The vista and the pinot noir are the highlights here but for 20$/tasting, it's wasn't anything mind blowing. Push on down the road and you'll find better.
The tasting room is beautifully located atop a hill with beautifully views. $15 to taste inside or $25 to sit outside on the terrace and do the 'terrace tasting'. Splurge for the terrace tasting if so inclined to. The Rokioli chard was its usual great wine. I found the Pinot's poured to be wine made for the 'masses' and of...

I was fitst introduced to wine about 18 months ago at a Houston restaurant and the wine was a Gary Farrell Pinot.
I was very excited to visit the winery that makes the wine I started drinking. From the entrance all the way thru the winery, we could not have been treated better. Andy Barker (Tasting Room Manager) gave us...

What an Awesome Winery!
I had heard great things about Gary Farrell Winery and I’m a huge Chardonnay lover so I was really looking forward to my visit. I went to the winery this past weekend and given that it was the last beautiful weekend in October, I took the opportunity to enjoy a tasting on the terrace. Terrace tastings...

We've been a Gary Farrell fan for several years especially liking his pinot noirs. It was with great anticipation that we shared a terrace tasting tour. Since it was a slow Thursday afternoon, the staff gladly accommodated our shared request and understood the importance of pacing yourself. The tasting started with a nice Russian River sauvignon blanc that had crisp...
