We had some relatives visiting from Hong Kong and had never gotten a good look at Lake Tahoe. After a stop at the pioneer museum, we headed out around the lake and stopped in Kings Beach. They were able to take pictures and enjoy a stroll around the lake. This is an ideal spot because you can see across the... More

Great beach. Ice cold lake water. Beautiful views. Friendly local people. You can spend an entire day here, or just a few hours. Either way you'll leave feeling refreshed and renewed.

Very People-friendly with a variety of activities to participate in, kayak rentals, etc. A nice playground is there for children. The quality of the sand is questionable. It is within walking distance to eateries, coffee, souvenir shops. Evey year they host a fireworks display on July 3rd.,

This trail was amazing..... with snow falling and sierra redwoods everywhere.... If you want to find out what and where the secret hike is..... you have to stay at the Cedar Glen Lodge in Tahoe Vista.... lake Tahoe

i loooved this beach. i'm from sf and i went to tahoe two weekends in a row to enjoy their beaches. this was by far my favorite because the sand didn't hurt to walk on unless it was burning hot and the lake was perfect! i love fresh water so it was great playing in it without worrying about salt... Easy access for parking, to the lake, small shops, and places to eat for reasonable prices. Plenty of room to move around without feeling crowded.

Best sand, best sun, best sights. Convenient but busy parking lot. Across the street from the Kings Beach commercial strip with several choices of restaurants, bars and shops. They need to upgrade the pier for more uses.

It's a fun place to hang out if you can find a parking place. There's a parking lot but it's not big enough and a little pricey. I'm not crazy about crowds & it seems like you always have to fight them here.

What a beautiful beach. How can you describe a little piece of heaven right off of the highway? The water is clear, but very cold.

We stayed in Tahoe Vista the last week of July and visited this State park twice. It is by far the nicest beach in the area; clean, beautiful. However, don't go there thinking you will be able to grab a drink or any type of refreshments at a stand or restaraunt. There is ONE such place, run by the state,... More
