We took a guided tour with La Jolla Kayak to see the caves and get up close to the sea lions and other forms of wildlife. We enjoyed the kayak trip out to the caves and entered one cave in spite of the wind and waves being a bit rough. We flipped over in our kayak as we returned to... More

Going into Sunny Jim's Cave from the Cave Store is not worth even $4. This is the only cave you can go into. Cave Store is cool for old photos and maybe souvenirs. Most of the kayak companies at La Jolla Shores make it sound like you're going INTO the 7 different caves but only one cave is possible to... More

The wife and I went there before we met friends. Interesting enough. Saw some caves and the wildlife. Was really a time killer before lunch.

A neat perspective of both the ocean and the town the way it was 100 years ago. Slippery in spots, and watch your head.

It was an interesting perspective looking out at the ocean and the kayakers from inside the hugh cave at the bottom of the cliffs. It is not necessarily the most exciting experience but it is worth the time since it doesn't take but about 20 -30 minutes at the most. Careful of the stairs!

Not far from La Jolla's children pool. Great place to take photos. You will see people from all over the world enjoying the weather and the spectacular views. And all of us is just a few steps from many fantastic restaurants.

Visiting the caves is always a treat. The drive down the coast is beautiful, the whole cove is amazing. One of our favorite trips in San Diego County.

This is a semi-neat place to visit but the amount of odor emitted from the birds and the seals is nearly unbearable. I know there are news reports and what not to back-up this claim, but it is still cool to go visit if need be.

this is why you go. it is expensive and though i grew up here i didn't go till i moved back and could afford it. if you are on a budget in SD, you might want to skip it for other activities
