The cove is a little hard to find because you're going down a one lane road that looks like it's private but it was worth the searching. It was cloudy but the sun shining through the clouds as it set was beautiful.

If you're in La Jolla this is the first place you want to go. There are sea lions and pelicans on one side of the cove and a bunch of seals on the other side. The beach is perfect for swimming and the park is perfect for picnics and bbqs

We can see so close many sea lions near the shore. Kids were exciting to see them. It was really great experience to see wild sea lions here. The wave comes sometimes very high, so you had better to bring towel just in case.

Loved it here, so relaxing. It's great to see and hear the seals. When you're booking a trip to the west coast, then you definitely have to spent a day or two-three in San Diego. Such a different city from all the others in California. Ja Jolla cove is great to have a walk or a dip in the sea.

Not sure what all of the fuss is about. We were in San Diego pre-cruise for a few days and decided to go to La Jolla for the day. The smell was overpowering and we could not stay long.

Okay, I have to admit that the parking situation is a nightmare.,you often have to park a distance away and walk. But it has a beautiful view, a nice little beach with sea lions and a little jetty to get near the waves.

Beautiful seaside walk in a very rich town. Hard to find parking most days of the week but particularily busy on the weekend. But if you are in San Diego, do not miss. Be sure to go down the stairs to the water level at the northern end of the cove. Aslo children will love the seals at the southern... More

What went wrong was the fact that the city enviro's cannot decide on whether or not to let the stinky dried poo stay there or get cleaned. The smell of the ocean is so overpowered by the poo.

A small little beach nestled in a cove. Perfect for kids. Surrounded by rocky small cliffs with sea lions barking away and swimming around. Very cool!

This was our first "beach" stop. Go closer to 4pm when the seals start to beach on the rocks. They were very active, swimming and talking! Walked the entire cove/beach area, played in the park, met some very nice people with children so our little ones could play. Difficult to find parking, so be prepared to drive around to find...
