As a 17-year resident I was dubious when it first opened but now I can walk to several good restaurants, get a nice chardonnay at the Wine Bar and even get new eyeglasses! Farmers Market in "season" just makes it along with The La Quinta Coffee Co. Got to get off Hwy 111 though.

We always takes guest to visit Old Town: Solano's is great for either lunch or dinner. Clint's Eastwood's Hog's Breathe is a definite place to stop -- good Happy Hour.

There is so much to do here, you can walk around and shop the open air market, there are a variety of shops and cafes and restaurants. There is live entertainment. You can bring your pet and and walk around, there is a large grassy area you can bring your kids...fun place!!

You must have lunch on the patio of Stuft Pizza and try to go on a weekend when they have their Arts under the umbrellas

Cute little block, feels like a getaway from the bustle of the desert with the unique construction and landscaping. Good for brunch and an afternoon stroll, or even nighttime bar hopping.

Ate hear daily and of course shopped at these fun stores. They always seem to have more unusual items.

OK - I LOVE little old town la Quinta but am always wanting more. Sure, there are lovely and fun restaurants and really the only places I find myself searching out over and over again are Alice and Olivia and the celino store. Love the architecture and the white stucco - but I'm sure retail is tough given El Paseo... More

We enjoyed lunch in this area yesterday. It looked old world classy Mexican. Up scale but not super expensive. The Art festival was going on so we made an afternoon of it.

Small quaint walking area with old Spanish flair, architect on buildings interesting. Setting is casual and good walking paths. Weekend events include Art under Umbrella, music venues. Very different from other desert cities. This is old Spanish, full of historic interests and close up backdrop of Santa Rosa mountains. Off the beaten path but many restaurants and coffee shops and... More
