If you want to travel to the Long Beach area and your airline connects to the Long Beach Airport, you should definitely consider it. Just 10 minutes or so from Long Beach downtown, much less hassle than LAX. Give it a try.

I travel utilizing this airport often because it is the only airport in my area with direct flights to and from Austin, Texas, where my daughter and her family live. I really love this airport. Small and easy to navigate, the people who work at this airport are friendly and helpful. Additionally, for such a small airport, the food selection... More

It was like being taken back to when flying was fun! Cute, small, friendly and loved that my kids got to walk on a tarmac and climb stairs to a plane! A little gem!

This little airport gets currently a great facelift, which makes it even more attractive than before. Quick check-in, efficient security check, nice lounge with new cafes and restaurants, simply cool and done with style.

WOW, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed going to an airport, checking in and going thru security. This airport is less congested and so much easier to travel to and from. Felt like the 'good ol' days' before 9/11. Okay, well may not quite but close.

Flew to Las Vegas via Long Beach airport on the advice of this forum. What a great decision. Lovely , friendly staff, even thru security. Loved the outdoor aspect of the airport. Had an hours dlay due to engine problem but it was soon sorted. Would not hesitate to fly from here again

This airport is easy to navigate. Airlines mostly local (CA) with no long lines. Usual TSA hassle for checkin.

Really easy airport to fly into. A lot of it seems to be outside though so I was cold when I stepped onto the tarmac and until I jumped into my sister's car. I've dropped my sister off here before when she went to Vegas and she said it was a fast, pleasant check in and boarding experience.
