Not crowded and nice easy walks through varying gardens much bigger than it looks a nice natural and charming California coast garden

Once again my sweetie and I loved our visit to the Mendocino Art Center. I enjoy browsing the ever-changing artwork and visiting the artistic garden. I didn't buy anything this time.

If you like modernist abstracts this might be a place for you. We walked through pretty fast as there was not much to engage our attention. I will skip and go for a longer walk on the shores next time.

I love going to the different artist's areas and see their work. The weavers, the potters, the jewelry makers- best of their kind! Reasonable prices too for the most part! The artistry and the handiwork AMAZE me! The layout is easily navigated and the food offerings are even pretty good! I ALWAYS find some piece of jewelry or a hat or scarf that I feel I cannot live without. We return each November eager to check it out!

My acquaintance with MAC goes back to the 60's when we artists attended workshops in summer. Now my oil paintings hang on their walls. Their curator is excellent as is the direction they are going! I love the place.
