This beautifully preserved home was fun to walk through. Most of the furnishings are original to the Cooper family. A nice piece of Monterey history.
THis is one of those places that's fun to visit with the kids. Very historical. Check it out. They sometimes give guided tours.
Like many of the historical sites in Monterey area, it's real and not fancied up to look more cute...It's a real building that dates back to early Monterey and gives an idea of what Monterey looked like.

By looking from the outside of the building you wouldn't know that there is a beautiful garden behind those unassuming walls. Step inside and you'll...

This place is truly wonderful! Quiet, interesting, etc. A beautiful garden oasis in the middle of Monterey. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I hesitate to rate it only because it feels like my own secret garden every time I visit.
