At the last minute the 3 of us decided to go kayaking in Morro Bay. We debated on a tandem & solo kayak, but in the end decided on a canoe. It was the right choice as our 8 year old had a blast. He even paddled for a bit, but didn't have to since all of us fit in... More

I had tried for two years to convince my hubby to trade or sell our canoe for a kayak. It was a losing battle until I talked him into renting a kayak from the Kayak Shack at Morro Bay. We had a great time with the harbor seals, sealions, birds and box rays, one swam right under my kayak! Bring water and a snack if you dont take the lunch tour. I was on a trip with my mother, my son, and 13 other grandchildren with their grandparents (Elderhostel Road Scholar trip). The weather was perfect.
