I wasn't there for skiing but to watch the Alpine Championships. If your interested in ski competitions, whether you ski or not, Squaw valley is a great place to see some of the best go at it on a slope previously used in an Olympics. The weather was beautiful for four out of the five days, first day was postponed... More

They kept Granite Chief closed for some odd reason even though it was the best snow on the mountain. While wind was quoted, I think everyone knew it was staff related instead. I'm sure they lose money in years like this one and probably are looking to limit their exposure where they can.

I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I was by Squaw. As a hardcore, avid skier, I had always heard about how great Squaw was. I guess times change. Granted the snow was horrible, which they cannot control, but I was under the impression that the awful conditions were not uncommon. While weather is not controllable, things like attitude,... More

Snow was pretty good for spring skiing. I haven't skied in the Tahoe area for 30 years. Nice to be back.

It has the best terrain for all levels of skiers. It provides a free shuttle to Alpine Meadows ski area.

There are lots of good things about this resort. The bottom of the mountain offers shops, restaurants, rest areas, etc. You can rent equipment at the mountain (although it is cheaper to rent outside the resort). The mountain is really spread out and offers a wide variety of slopes. I ski the Blues and really enjoyed them. I noticed LOTS... More

One of the best mountains in the United States for technical and adventure skiing. There is no chairlift anywhere that matches the big-mountain capabilities of the KT-22. I will ski there for as long as legs can hold out.

I enjoyed the Shops, Restuarants, Rentals, and a Medical Clinic! The pop up tents and mobile sporting venues blocked views of "where to go" so that was problematic....we had hard time finding rental shops

Squaw has it all. Steeps, bumps, groomers, easy gentle beginner terrain. Now with its merge with Alpine Meadows over 6000 acres of ski-able terrain.

A nice resort for a couple of days as part of the Tahoe experience. Good range of runs for all standards and we had 2' of powder which made it magical. No queues at all!
