I recently played Pacific Grove golf course and this is a re-review of that facility. I've been golfing there for years and it is truly a links course. The front nine (the older of the two nines) is a bit funky with some short holes but it's interesting and holds plenty of challenge for the average golfer. But the back... More

My husband loves to play golf at Pacific Grove Municipal. He has met the nice people playing golf and shared great stories. They even have where you can rent clubs. The restaurant was great. Great food, great service and good prices. We ate breakfast there 4 days in a row and even had dinner.

Sorry i can't speak to the golfing - the actual golfers seemed very happy - but they were kind enough to let me use their toilets, after i'd been walking for hours, looking for butterflies, wandering the beach, exploring lighthouse....

Fun course in Pacific Grove. Front nine is pretty basic inland through the trees but the back nine has holes along the ocean. Saw lots of deers. Not nearly as nice as Pebble Beach or Poppy Hills but about five times cheaper.

Very nice golf course! Well maintained and carried for. You simply cannot beat the holes near the ocean for the money. Sneak your clubs into the car and send the girls shopping.

We only eat here between the 9th and 10th hoes. The food is consistently a notch (or many notches) above golf course food. We recommend the italian sandwich and the turkey sandwich. High quality bread and meats.

Golf right at the water's edge, with an ambiance as good as nearby Pebble Beach, at a fraction of the cost, this is a most unique community golf course.

This course has been described as the "Poor Man's Pebble Beach". Given the oceanfront setting, especially the Back Nine, and the kind of links-style feel to it, Pacific Grove Muni is definitely a great value. I was in Monterey for a family gathering, and my equally golf-mad cousins managed to fit in a round here. Although I played like moose... More

Not difficult, not scenic, not Pebble Beach or Carmel Valley or any of the really nice places to play golf on the Monterey Peninsula. Mostly famous for being the place that Digital Research staff decided to play an extra nine instead of going to meet IBM when IBM was trying to decide which operating system to use....which is why Microsoft... What a bargain! We paid $128 for a twosome with a cart. Course is in excellent shape, even considering recent greens aeration. The front nine is through forest area, some homes along fairway on some holes. The back nine is the nicest setting you can imagine. All holes are literally oceanfront with just a two lane road between you and... More
