Lots of fun, food, interesting "stuff". We went with several friends who live in the area-they go every week. Afterwards it was pizza and wine at NYPD.
This is a must do for visitors to Palm Springs if they are visiting on Thursday. Loads of people wandering down Palm Canyon Drive (main street). I think the best part of this event is people watching. There are lots of different choices of things to buy. For me, the best part is all of the fresh fruit and veggies... More
It was so much fun to attend the VillageFest. There was food, music, entertainment and lots of things to buy. It is a treat for both locals and visiters.
I was shocked by how crowded this was. The "art" for sale is pretty horrid, but there were some good food offerings and a variety of different musical acts. We went to The VillageFest on our second night, held every Thursday evening. There were all manner of goods for sale, some great local crafts from jewellery to furniture. The food stalls are great. There was a real sense of community, a nice way to stroll away an hour before heading out for the evening.
It's hard to believe that an event held every week draws such a large crowd. We hadn't been to it before and enjoyed it considerably. Lots of very good crafts at reasonable prices. One thing that added to our enjoyment of the evening was that it was Halloween, and there were lots of people in costume, including a group of... More
Attended this arts and craft festival. It was Halloween which made it so much more fun with many people and children dressed up and wandering through the area. A nice variety of items to purchase. Would hope that this expands in the future. It's a fun way to spend the evening in Palm Springs.
Blocks and blocks of vendors and the usual street faire type of thing every Thursday night on the main drag. I’m not sure it would be fun if you went every week, but it’s something to do after the sun goes down every now and then. Probably not fun if you hate crowds, but if you like to people watch... More
