The tourist attraction is the old Governors Mansion on 16th and H Streets but the Leland Stanford Mansion is much larger more interesting, attractive and larger. Before budget cuts, the mansion was decorated every holiday season. Check open times with the California State ark Service before going.

I went on the 4:00 p.m. tour. As it was the last tour of the day and a small group, the tour guide gave us a slightly longer tour.
