This trail has been preserved by San Jose, Campbell and Los Gatos instead of allowing building up to the creek. It was a great idea, as the trail is heavily used and for good reason. It is a pretty, somewhat shaded, paved trail great for biking, running, or just going for a stroll. We rode from Campbell to Los Gatos... More

This trail is really good for all levels and offers many options to make it long, short, easy-going or strenuous. We are avid hikers, but had just come from Big Sur and were hiking with a group of friends at various fitness levels. Estimated 6 miles roundtrip with a 1500 elevation gain. Some were able to trail run, walk or... More

I usually like to take a walk early, before there's a lot of bikes on the trail. It does get busy during peak hours and some of the trail is very narrow, like under the 17 overpass.

I love jogging or biking this trail. It takes you all the way from Campbell to Los Gatos. There are parks and ponds next to it and the creek is also a great thing to see. Pets are allowed and the people you meet are very kind.

Nice place to escape to nature in the middle of the silicon valley. This trail can get busy but that's what makes it a great place to walk or run even if you're alone. There are always people around so you don't feel alone. Also, there are restrooms about every 1-1/2 miles which is great.

I love walking here in the Los Gatos and Campbell sections. We live near an entrance in between the two and either set our destination as Vasona park or the dog park. Both walks are enjoyable because the nature along the way is so fun to look at. Closer to Vasona there are some more forest-y areas, but even if... More

This trail system is truly a fabulous asset for the Bay Area. One can hike on flat, paved trails or climb the mountain overlooking Los Gatos and the south bay area. Views on a clear day from the top of the mountain are spectacular.

I trained for 6 different marathons using Los Gatos Creek Trail as my primary workout location. It's typically well populated and has water fountains and bathrooms along the way. You can run 20 miles by starting in San Jose and running to the top of Lexington Dam and back. The trail is marked so you can run measured distances. The... More

I take my 2 dogs here for a walk and enjoy it every time. The dogs always have new things to smell and I love walking by the creek and seeing it in different seasons and weathers. The trail is paved, so easy strolling for babies in carriages. The downside is that the trail can get crowded at peak times... More

If you enjoy a relaxing ride this is the place to go, you can also challenge yourself if you choose by a ride to the reservoir, and you can always stop for a good cup of coffee.
