Tucked away in the mountains but close, rustic as all get out, this place serves great classic American food. Hamburgers to die for, steaks, venison, great chili con carne and black bean game chili, roast beef sandwiches with all the juice, surprisingly good pastas, and a pretty wicked Cosmopolitan. Decent beer and wine list. Wonderful desserts, on and on. Gets... More

It was a quick and pretty drive if you need to kill some time. The restaraunt had very good food and the staff was nice.

Food and ambiance beyond comparison! One or our favorite places in the world. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, music all anyone could ask for.

I love the area and the unique beers. A piece of history. I recommend making a stop if you are going by this way.

If you haven't heard of Cold Spring Tavern, you'll want to put it on your 'to do' list if you're ever in Santa Barbara. It's a little out of town on the '154' highway but worth the short 20min drive to get there. It's a rustic looking 'old school' joint and it works right in the middle of a forestry... More

Minutes from Santa Barbara. My son suggested that we go. AWESOME just AWESOME. I ordered Salmon and expected average with a big bill. It was above average with a small price. In fact. after paying for wine and dinners for 6 people the bill was WAY LESS than expected. (Too cheap in my opinion) Great Experience.

I would say stop off at the Cold Spring Tavern when you're heading up the 154 Pass from Santa Barbara to Solvang, but you better have a reservation. We try to dine here every time we travel from Arizona to Santa Barbara. They never miss! The food is excellent and the rustic charm simply adds to the experience! They have... More

Cold Spring Tavern is on the scenic route from Santa Barbara to Solvang. I believe it is Rt. 154 the "back way" to the Santa Ynez & Solvang area. Take this route vs. Rt 101 N. There is no sign for CS Tavern, but it is a left off Rt. 154. There aren't many lefts. It might be about 20... More

There is something for everyone here-the biker, the bbq lover, the music lover and the 'back in the day' lover. Everyone is really friendly and it's a very laid back scene. The day we went was a little chilly so the roaring fire inside the bar was very welcome. Everything was fantastic-tri-tip, drizzled with a little ranch dressing, yummy pies,... More

So much fun! All types come here. We bring all our visitors to this historic spot. The Tri-Tip sandwiches are mouth watering! Cooked outdoors with a choice of au jus, BBQ sauce, horseradish sauce or salsa! Always terrific!
