Went with my grand daughter to enjoy the animals. A very quaint, nicely maintained place for a day outing with family. Worth every penny spent!

Nicely appointed little zoo with a decent selection of animals, good way to spend a couple of hours in the sun.
The zoo wasn't crowded, plenty of time to look around. The volunteers shared a lot about the animals.
It's an ok place to go with the family. Didn't seem like they had many animals. No elephants or zebras, but the lions, giraffes, and gorillas were a fantastic sight. The little train ride was decent, just watch out for the broken sprinkler that squirts you in the face!

A favorite Zoo visit when our Children were younger. Great atmosphere for Kids, not to big and very well designed. The zoo is located relatively close to the ocean so it remains nice and cool within the influence of the ocean atmosphere.
It's not the biggest, but makes up for that with a well thought out layout, exhibits, and an excellent collection. There is often a keeper with an animal showing it off outside it's enclosure, giving information and allowing for a much more unique experience. This zoo doesn't have the crazy hustle and bustle of the big ones like LA or...

Santa Barbara Zoo is a very beautiful zoo. The attractions are spread out just far enough that you don't feel on top of the other visitors. The family play area is nice. My kids loved riding down the carpeted ant hill on the cardboard boxes. We were disappointed in the number of attractions that were closed. My son was disappointed...

If you are looking for a large zoo like the LA or San Diego, you won't find it but what they have is very nicely displayed. There were zoo workers who stopped to talk and answer any questions you had about the animals. It was a nice couple of hours well spent.
Although there is alot of variety of animals, the big cats' cages are just too small. Left me with a pretty sad feeling overall.
Nicely maintained and great location by the beachfront. Parking Lot fills up fast and sometimes hard to come by along the street. I had their homemade Chili before I want to walk around. It was fair...good but not as hearty as I would have liked. More like a vegetable and bean soup for $5. The animals appeared to be at...
