After The Willows Theatre went bankrupt, my friends and I decided to try ACT at the Lesher Center for the Arts. We've been quite pleased and have deeply enjoyed the presentations. The staging is wonderful, and the acting and musical talents remarkable.
The seating allows a bit more legroom than the SF theaters so my long legs fit better without...

Having lived in the area for 50 years, I remember when this place was a walnut shed. It was transformed into a theater with the addition of seats but the productions weren't too hot. The Center opened and the Beach Boys performed at one of the opening ceremonies. As this theater grew, it attracted very talented performers and began putting...

We came to the center to see a contemporary ballet. The theatre was fine, the seats are not incredibly comfortable nor terrible, overall the place was average. They do offer drinks and snacks which is a plus.
We're lucky to have Lesher Center and the Bedford Gallery. Wonderful things come to the Lesher...we've had so many pleasurable evenings there. And the Bedford is GREAT. I was on Boards of Museums in Chicago and Colorado and still....am always extremely impressed with the exhibits at the Bedford. Walnut Creek is lucky to have the astute staff at this place...

The theater is well designed with no bad viewing seats. They have a full bar, allow drinks and food in theater and have an ice cream fundraising intermission.
With their new conductor, the Diablo Valley Symphony rocks. Parking facilities are directly next door. Easy for people needing special facilities. Write for their program, this symphony of volunteer musicians deserves great credit for their excellent almost year round performances.
Talented young soloists are featured in their schedule. Ticket office gives friendly service.
Check out the Rachmaninoff performance in February....that...

We've always enjoyed the shows at the Lesher and have been season subscribers for several years. We appreciate that they offer a variety of packages - 8,7,or 6 shows, for example, musicals only, etc. Also appreciate the free ice cream for subscribers and free ticket exchange if one of the scheduled performances conflicts with our plans, such as travel. Sadly,...
