Being from the east coast there is no way we can appreciate the special nature of the Redwood tree. It is majestic as it reaches up to touch the sky. No camera can capture the total length as the tree stretches upward between it's peers. You have to place someone in the picture in order to give some perspective of... More

A return visit for us and just as breathtaking as the first time. Slept among the Giants at Burlington campground and it was amazingly beautiful. No hookups for RV's and lots of tenters. We did a bunch of the hikes that are marked on the "auto tour." Would go back in a heart beat!

The Avenue of the Giants is a beautiful drive and an area of the country that you must see. It is an incredible wonder of America. These trees are awesome. Their size is unbelievable and must be seen to truly comprehend them. The 30 mile Avenue can be done in about 2-2 1/2 hours It is a day trip that... More

How can you write a review... And explain or describe all of its Beauty? The State park has done an excellent job in maintaining God's Gift to us so we are able see these beautiful trees and the forest floor along the hiking trails! It was more than worth the travel across the country to see this AWESOME Redwood Forest!

the overwhelming beauty of the trees, and sense of being out of the city. Have been multiple times over many years, the awe never gets stale.

Wow - incredible camping and hiking experience. We camped in Albee campground for 2 days - decided the other campground by the visitor center was not going to work. Timing was perfect - only a few other campers. Good hiking - trails into the redwoods as well as down along albee creek. Campground set up good with bear lockers, restroom... More

We visit the park each time we go north to Oregon and Washington along the coast. It is usually crowed during the warm summer months. The visitors center is modest and the staff members are very helpful.

Hiked in both Humboldt Redwoods State Park and Redwoods National Park. Of all the great trails we hiked (kept to the shorter ones as I have 2 young kids) the Rockefeller grove in this park was my favorite. Huge trees, not crowded at all and simply awe inspiring. Visitor center is top notch as well.

Beautiful & majestic. Try to visit in the off season and you will have many of the trails to yourself. Stop by the ranger station for maps.
