Chatauqua Park is a very beautiful park with multiple trails to choose from. Walking poles will be helpful but we were fine without them. We did the enchanted mesa, mesa trail and bluebell. We passed by the streams and had an increased opportunity to see animals. The McClintock trail was closed due to a mother bear and her two cubs... More

Although historic, it's quaint and cute and is worth a visit if you are in or near the Boulder area. Hiking trails, performance areas, and a park are very charming.

I was very excited to visit Chautauqua park this weekend as this was my first trip to Colorado. There were many trails to pick. We took a more moderate trail, but had a little difficulty because I wasn't use to the high altitude so it took longer to complete the trail. However, the end result was amazing views....breath-taking. Well worth... More

Chatauqua Park is easy to get to and had plenty of parking when we visited. It is free and has many trails that take you near the Flatirons. We saw some climbers going up the Flatirons and had a great hike through boulder fields and beautiful trails. Note that a trail marked easy may seem more moderate/strenuous to flatlanders. The... We did not have enough time to spend here. It was a beautiful, warm day, with many people there for the Park and the Flatirons, and it was difficult to find parking.... Next time, I would go by bike or have our hotel drop us off!

Boulder is known for the Flatirons, rock formations that dominate the landscape of Boulder. From Chatauqua Park you can experience the redish rocks up close and personal without hiking, so if you choose to view them from your car you can. Most enjoy walks, hikes, and trails along with the theatre and dining hall. A great destination for 15 minutes... More

If you are in Boulder, don't miss the chance to hike here. Don't expect solitude near the trail heads though, it does get a lot of use. I would not consider it crowded however.
