Tried to go in early May 2013. Showed up but it is all chained off. Asked at the gas station on the way out of town and was told it was closed now.

Quint little mine in Breckenridge. Very informational and interesting. The tour guide was knowledgeable.
The staff and tour guide were very friendly and the history was very informative and the gold panning afterwards was pretty cool

Very interesting, tour guide was knowledgeable, neat mining facts! I enjoyed the paning for gold at the end. However, it would be more enjoyable in warmer weather.
So interesting to be underground in a real working gold mine. make sure the electricity is working. we had a power outage and had to use flashlights and headlamps to get out. very authentic.
Visit a mine and learn about the mining process. Near town. Excellent tour guide, who really knew his stuff. Had private tour.
