Visited here for the purpose of my kids swimming. All three had fun, ages 2, 3 & 9. Large splash area for littler ones and older kids can slide or utilize low dive & high dive.

Great, convenient, location right in town, easy to find, good parking, low admission rate, nice pool and changing rooms, all in all, a super rec center...
Great place to hang for a couple of hours. Rock climbing wall, fantastic gym and pool the kids will die for with slide, diving boards and lazy river. Really wonderful public ammenity.
This place is amazing. They have something for everyone. The aquatics area is excellent for kids and adults. It's too bad that we couldn't have stayed longer just for the rec center. A must see place for kids that are tired of being in the car.
Can't believe it took us so long to discover this on our trips to Durango. THE place for kids. Pool, indoor water park, water slide, lazy river feature, hot tub. Separate area with diving boards, lap pool. Monitored climbing wall with instructor. Clean friendly family place. Great value. Congratulations to the community for providing such a facility to locals and...

I've taken out-of-town guests there and they are usually impressed with what you get for your money. I use the weight machines and aerobic machines (usually a treadmill) and the locker rooms. I attend...

If you don't find it here, it doesn't exist. A great place for the kids to congregate in a healthy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the pool is so heavy with chlorine, that I don't recommend it for those with COPD. It needs better air filtration and some plants for improved air.
I went to the Durango Communicty Rec Center recently while on vacation in Durango. It is great place to go inside when it is cold outside. There is swimming with areas designed for kids, basketball, racquetball, weights and walking track. We spent most of our time in swimming pool with the kids. The cost was only $5. The kids loved...

It has all the "bells and whistles" for a work out.Great place to exercise at a reasonable price. It can get noisy after school hours and or Saturday.
This may be the best value in the area because you can spend a whole day, or at least an afternoon, in the pool's rapids. This is no ordinary Rec Center; it is much closer to an amusement park than the YMCA you might anticipate. It is in a beautiful setting with a great physical plant, friendly staff, and squeaky...
