The wines were available for tasting. I liked sweet wines and there were several to choose from. The price of wine is reasonable but having it shipped home is not. (I did it anyway rather than deal with getting it home on a plane.) The shop-keeper was friendly and helpful. The winery appeared clean with gift items to purchase. It's... More

Wines were o.k. Nice mix of sweet and non-sweet. Sampling was unique. Good selection of oils. Definately worth the stop. Shop had a lot of other unique food items to purchase.

This is set up with a kind of self serve draft type tasting area for a majority of the wines. Surprisingly everyone seemed to mind their portions and stap back to let others enjoy. Thay also have a section of snacks and treats which were reasonable priced and delicious.

The Colorado Cellars is located outside of Palisade in the beautiful countryside. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the staff member who was just opening the doors for the day. Wines range from dry and sweet whites, dry and sweet reds, to wines made with a variety of fruit. We were handed a sampling glass and there was... More

Tasting room staff will not say what grapes are in the wines. A bit of information would be helpful. Only experience we had like this. Large, well-stocked gift ship though.

My husband and I have visited the Palisade area a couple times and I used to visit relatives there as a kid. On our prior visit and our recent visit, we stopped by the Colorado Cellars Winery. The winery is in a cool location in Palisade where it sits on a hill and looks just like what you would expect... More

If you enjoyed the time you spent in the Palisades, then open a bottle of Colorado Cellars, close your eyes, swirl the wine in your glass, take a sip and you will be transported back to the beauty of this special area, and times spent with best friends.

From the other great reviews we just had to stop here . We found the staff not very friendly at all. The self pours were fun but only occasionally would the staff explain what you were drinking. Maybe they thought if you had a question you would ask and they wouldn't butt in until then. Large selection of fruit flavored... More

We visited several wineries in the area and this one was our favorite. It is hard to find, 5 miles out of town but the road takes you past vineyards and peach orchards and when you get there it smells wonderful from the lavender farm next door. The quality of the wines is superior and if you are there to... More

Peach, cherry, plum, blueberry, chokecherry, pomegranate, blackberry, raspberry, you name it, they make wine with it. The grape wines are delicious as well. Tasty wine, super friendly service, we never leave here without at least a case, and it's hard to pick since everything is so good. I particularly like the spiced mead, and the pomegranate wine is superb with... More
