It had been some time since my last visit. I was pleasantly surprised. Will check out the cabin rentals the next time. May was a good time to be there. Not a lot of people there.

This was our second time here. We were here 8 years ago and it's pretty much the same wonderful place it was on our first visit. We always meet awesome people here too! It's high in the mountains so you are breathing fresh cool mountain air while you soak in the hot springs. They have a changing room but this...

This remote and wonderfully warm and unrestricted fluke of nature is worth the effort to get there. Open all year, in the winter you need a four wheel drive to get to the springs, worth the effort
The springs are a MUST do...especially when there is snow around. There was so ethnic magic about being in the hot springs surrounded by snow covered pines and steam rising from the pools. There are NO LOCKERS so either leave valuables at home or locked in your car. The changing rooms are unisex but even in our late 70s this...

We went to the hot springs twice during our week in Steamboat and it was great. The road is a long dirt road and during the winter 4 wheel drive is recommended. I believe many resorts have shuttles but keep in mind the weather. You pay $10 per person to get in (Cash Only) and parking is free. Once you...

My wife and I spent the day in steamboat. This is roughly 15 minutes outside of steamboat. The drive is a bit dicey especially if you don't have 4wd. We drove a 2WD car all the way up and if the weather is bad it might not be accessible.
$10 at the door will get you in! Bring flip flops...

The Hot Springs were incredibly relaxing. I could have sat in the springs all day. It is $10 pp (cash only) and you can rent towels there if necessary. They also sell non alcoholic drinks and snacks. It was a pretty drive up to the springs. I did not find the unpaved road to be bad at all. It was...

We did both the Old Town Springs and Strawberry Park. We had fun at both, but unfortunately our Strawberry Park experience was marred by rain. It wouldn't have been a problem since you are wet anyway, but there is really no where to keep your gear dry if you don't come prepared with proper bags that are water proof. And...

Best place to soak after a day on the slopes! Rustic but charming and the pools are heavenly. Make a day pack and bring a change of clothes, a towel, sunscreen, sandals and maybe a picnic lunch and you will have a perfect day. I love this place!
Fun place to go during the day with kids, but clothes are optional at night - so beware! :) There are several different pools - some are hotter than others! It is pretty rustic, so don't expect any poolside service. Bring your own towels and pack a lunch and your own drinks. (no glass allowed for obvious reasons!) the scenery...
