Love this little Co. town - quintessential western Main Street. The old buildings have been beautifully preserved and/or renovated. Pedestrians definitely have the right of way.
It was a cool day with light rain which added to the fun of walking the sidewalks of this historic main street. The shops were not crowded on this autumn day, and the clerks had time to chat and seemed happy to be working in this lovely area. The views down the street toward the mountains are memorable.
Shops typical of a small town main street. Not a box store in sight!! Locals are very friendly, offering their wares and services. Pedestrian- and dog-friendly, the dogs almost outnumber the humans! Shops are varied in offerings from galleries to sporting goods to services for the locals. Easy-going, I would recommend at least several hours to take in the area,... More
Plenty of shops, galleries, spas, and restaurants. Many of them are upscale due to it being a resort area. We had fun browsing and buying things. The town is very pedestrian and dog friendly. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world! Everyone is laid back and very friendly

Sunshine Pharmacy is a good place for souvenirs, drugstore items, and magazines and Between... More
I want to move here. I really, really do. It's such a cozy, small town -i I love it! My family has been coming here for decades, at least the early 70s, and it's still remained an accessible, friendly, low- key place.
