If you don't live at altitude, you'll huff and puff doing the climbing part, but it is SO worth it. Breathtaking views of Telluride canyon and surrounding snow covered peaks.

I liked the close proximity to town and the challenging ascent through picturesque aspens and amazing views of town below. What I didn't care for was the last mile, which was on a dirt road, but that's just me.

This hike gives you a beautiful view of the town, ski resort and the box canyon at the end of town. It helps us understand the lay of the land.

There is some misinformation on the Web regarding Cornet Falls. At the end of Aspen Street, there is a trail head. If you turn left and cross the bridge, you are on the Jud Wiebe trail. Great hike with stunning views. Get ready to do about 1,600 feet of climbing.

Some effort needed, but a classic Telluride hike. Don't feel bad if you are passed by locals who actually "run" or "jog" this trail. Remember, they are aclimatized and typically Telluride folks are in amazing shape. Great views of the Telluride box canyon and town.
